OP trapper Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 2,782 S Dakota | The prarie dog thread got me thinkin about them. I seen one when i was a teenager probably mid 70s was in our pasture not besides far from a junkpile in a fence row.. he was close, just across the argue from me setting in the pickup what i call back was quite red head and back , and black feet and ears.. existent pretty animal, i watched him ten minutes or and so he payed me no never mind... there were lots of flickertail gophers in the surface area at that time.. no prarie dogs in our area. anyone else ever seen or defenseless one?? I told the game warden and he said in that location were a few around . The only place you find free cheese is in a mousetrap ! |

trapper Joined: May 2008 Posts: three,429 Mn | I seen i back when I was a kid that would have been in the 70s on a family trip to Southward Dakota/Wyoming/Montana, not even sure where we were at the time but remember that at that place were a lot of gophers around, at the time my dad had to finish me from trying to catch it, it was acting then tame and was but 20/30 yards away and totally unconcerned almost u.s. being there Last edited by nightlife; 07/21/xix 01:03 PM. trapper Joined: Jan 2019 Posts: 71 Indiana Co. PA | I was stationed at Minot A.F.B. back in the tardily 80's. To this day I thought (I know) I saw 1 along a perimeter fence. Information technology was also hunting flicker-tail gophers. Called ND Fish & Game, they told me most likely an escaped ferret. Don't call back they followed up on it. |
