Fight Club has been my most trusted tool in D&D for over two years. For the exchange of having to add files yourself, you get just about everything D&D Beyond does for far less. The upgrade is worth the money, and the app is rarely buggy. A+ in my books!

11/15/2018 Thank you for fixing the app for older versions. Enjoying the updates. 11/14/2018 Just did the update on my iPad (4th Gen), iOS 10.3.3 The app opens and I've been very happy to use it up to this point. However, now after doing the latest update, when I try to open any of the characters I've already created, the app crashes. Please advise on what I can do to fix this. Thank you.

It's been a long time coming, but split-screen multitasking support has finally arrived and it's glorious! Now I can have a notepad to jot things down or draw a map on open next to Fight Club, or pull up the D&D Beyond app along side to look up some rules in a sourcebook. A+ effort and results here! Next on the wishlist? Support for dice-based bonuses like Bless in character conditions. Maybe Apple Pencil support for a notepad in game.

No integration with GM 5.

The Character Sheet format doesn't work. Text are too big for some fields and some content is in the wrong places, as it is, is unusable to print. A good app with some problems. It's hard to explain why this 2 apps exist separated. I'd be more than happy to pay a higher price for a single app that contains Game Master 5 and Fight Club 5.

I've used this app (and gamemaster 5) for a couple of years now and it's been incredible. I couldn't imagine playing D&D without it! I had a thought today while putting together a character and figured I'd leave a review and drop my suggestion at the bottom here. I'd love to see an area where the health bar and other combat stats are located where I can note damage immunities/resistances/vulnerabilities just like in GM5. Why would I need this when I have the traits marked on the side with the rest of the racial stuff? Well during combat I'm mainly using the stuff on left side of the screen and those notes on the right are nice but as a player I'm dumb and forgetful sometimes. I can add a custom counter under the statistics section to track my second Wind uses or action surge. Or add a custom roll for the stonecunning dwarf feature. But there's no good way to add add a damage type resistance where it's plainly visible amongst the other combat stats. Anyway, it's a great app and I use it pretty much every day!!

This app not only has acted as effectively as d&d beyond but also with the correct xml files (which are easy to find) it is just as expansive as well.

MY KINGDOM FOR A PORTRAIT MODE This app is the best way to manage a character sheet but please, I don't use it because it doesn't have a portrait mode on iPad. Just like the iPhone version I just don't want to need to tilt my iPad every time I open the app. I want to hold it in portrait like a character sheet. The DM version can be in portrait. I just need that. Otherwise this is the single best way to store and play characters.

I think this is a great app I wish you would've included a custom race option or download but that is okay maybe can be added in the future I am having only trouble dropping items which I can't figure out so if you would add more tips for that stuff I would be more glad to rate it better

I can never tell if I'm adding proficiencies I should have or if I'm adding proficiencies and creating a custom race/class etc. It's just too free form.

This app is beautiful and works very well. The information is set forward and ordered well, using it during a game is easy and fun, especially with the portrait picture! But guys... You're missing some pretty obvious spells. No fire bolt in the Wizard/Sorcerer list? No eldritch Blast in the Warlock list? Cmon. And the backgrounds... why is acolyte the only one? For anyone else reading this review, it's okay i guess, you can add it in and it works fine but you shouldn't have to input the PHB info into an app that says it's got it. Other than the missing info though, this app is unbelievable at free and worth the $ for multiple characters and no adds. I'll use it every time even though i have to manually write in Eldritch bolt into my Warlocks spell list.

Cool app. However, suggesting that players search and download unknown content simply because the developer hasn't created a full resource is pretty lazy. How are you going to charge for a piece of something. You aren't wizards. Fix the resource material so your customers aren't having to peruse the interwebs for the rest of what they need to make your app fully functional.

I've been using this app for about a year and half. The Dropbox files found online are essential and make this app far superior to any other of the type I have used.

This app is absolutely incredible. It makes creating a character easy and so much fun. There are small imperfections here and there, but it's really easy to work around even those. Really the only problem I see with the app is that you have to find and update the compendium on your own. They give some of the basic materials, but it would be great if they included some of the official add on material. Regardless, this app will make you 5e campaign so much simpler for your players so they can focus on the game without worrying about the pain of character building. Amazing overall.

I love this app it makes it so easy to make a character and have all my inventory in one convenient place but I have noticed that some class features are not accurately reflected in the app and there is no way to manually change it. One example is for the Monk class. When looking at the description for "Unarmored Defense" it states that AC should be 10 + DEX mod + WIS mod, but when I pull up my AC it only reflects 10+ DEX mod not wisdom. Not terrible but can be difficult for remembering what my true AC is during encounters and seeing if an attach hits me.

Thanks for making this and doing it well! I really enjoy it and similar apps are very expensive. One place that I see where improvement can be made, however, is the printable character sheet. I'm on an iPhone 6+ and in both on-screen and printed versions of the form some text boxes are clipped or off alignment. Mainly all of the modifiers (+2) down the left hand side of the page above the stats including the proficiency bonus, but also the saving throw modifiers (+1) column as well. Lastly, all of the text boxes in the upper right (Class & level) and the hit dice text box. Thanks!

The one possible flaw is in how I have to manually add the feats and backgrounds offered in the handbook. Just a petty complaint but I still recommend it, it's a good format. It allows me to reduce the amount of dice I need, not that I do.

To start, I love this app. Honestly, it's a great app. But, it needs to be updated as it doesn't contain all the options I want. Or the options my players want when I DM. But that being said neither did your 3.5 edition. If it's at all possible, please update this, and then this application will be worth 5 stars.

I gave money to this developer because the apps created by it are Brian Sella for my game. I use fight club for my NPCs and Game Master for campaign organization. Worth much more than what you pay, consider giving more to get more out of it

The only issue I have with this app is a glitch that removes pictures attached to notes after the app has been closed. Everything else works wonderfully, I've used this for countless characters over the years and do recommend it to people that are looking for a digital character sheet, but sometimes you need a picture attached to something.

The basic compendium is fantastic, the functionality is fairly (not perfectly, but fairly) intuitive, and the layout is very well conceived and implemented. Even adding new content is very easy with only a rudimentary ability with xml. That said, there are a few very basic things that would make the app perfect in my opinion. Support for italics in descriptive text in order to make things such as spell names stand out would be a huge and fairly simple improvement. The ability to create a custom condition and apply modifiers to it in order to mock up things like barbarian rage or wild shape would be epic (I currently create a custom piece of equipment and apply modifiers to that as a workaround, but it seems clumsy doing it that way). All told, beyond a very few basic quibbles with things that aren't supported, this is by far my favorite rpg companion app I've ever used.

So much of this app is great. It makes playing much more smooth because it automatically does calculations, rolls for you. and it's easy to list and prepare your spells. I liked it so much and want to support the app so I bought the pro version. BUT! The character sheet pdf export is just awful. The font doesn't fit the fields, and on a couple of exports my text doubled on itself. My GM doesn't use the app or the GM version and there is ver little chance he will start (he prefers it old school style). I would love to be able to send him a pdf but they are almost unreadable.

Begone clumsy paper and erasers! I love having my characters at my finger tips whenever I want! The app just keeps getting better and better. Literally all my players use it and after a small learning curve never want to go back to pen and paper.

LOVE THIS APP, though there's a little bit of a learning curve- it's not as bogged down as some other tools, the fact that it's free and you can add your own content makes it limitless. A few crashes and small issues but well worth it - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I still run my character sheet on paper and use physical dice, but this app is a gift from the gods in terms of tracking loot, carry weight, prepped spells, leveling, and so much else. I'm a big fan.

Well designed app. The only criticism I would have is that I wish it had a way of keeping track of certain things like barbarian rages left, bard inspiration and charges for items. Maybe in the future I hope as updates have been pretty regular recently

This app is so unbelievably useful! It automatically calculates all of your stats and takes into account feats and such. It is so convenient! I do pay for the premium version, but it is so worth it if you play d&d a lot. It is only a cheap one time purchase and then you can have unlimited characters! I have fifteen character sheets in my phone that I can use whenever. I highly recommend this app to anyone and everyone who likes d&d or is thinking about playing!

I got this app (and the adjacent game master app) when I was first starting up dnd. I found it very interesting and a great set up. I eventually bought the full version for a small amount and I don't regret it what so ever. After updating the compendium via another users file, it has become an amazing tool for my imagination and character development. I have come up with so many possibilities of fun and interesting characters, and I'm able to hold all of them in one place. Love this app

I've been using this app for characters in multiple campaigns over the past couple years. Overall I like the recent update, but the height seems a little off, the top bar overlaps the WiFi/time/battery indicators on my 7 plus.
